Portfolio > Fire series

Fire can attract people on account of its spectacular destructive power, and while everything changes unceasingly, nothing causes change like fire. Change by fire is death, no less, as substance apparently disappears but is changed into something else. It is the end of a cycle of life, and from this point on only growth can take place. My grandmother, who was a poet, wrote about death as "unseen and strange, this breaking down to re-arrange.”
